Mijn naam is Gumpie
De vaste advies 'potlood' van Volkert. Ik help hem regelmatig als hij geen inspiratie heeft. Tevens behulpzaam bij het uitgummen van zijn schetsen. Eerlijk gezegd, 'hij kan bijna niet zonder mij!.
Wij houden van de Noordzee, na ongeveer 10 minuten fietsen, zijn we op het strand. Met zijn vrouw en hond gaan ze daar regelmatig naar toe.
Wij houden van het zoeken naar bijzondere voorwerpen en schelpen, zeker als het net gestormd heeft.
We hebben plezier in het maken van foto's, die 'enigszins' bewerkt worden in photoshop. Mijn motto; 'Niet kijken, maar zien'.
Wat mensen vaak niet zien, zijn de kleine vuurtorentjes, die op geraffineerde plekken staan.
Deze speciale, voor mensen moeilijk te vinden, torentjes hebben mijn belangstelling.
's Nachts schijnen zij een ultraviolette flikkerlichtjes, die voor het menselijk oog niet zichtbaar is. Deze vuurtorentjes zijn van ontschatbare waarde voor vliegen, vlinders en andere insecten. Volgende week zal ik een technische uitleg geven hoe deze energie uit de aarde komt en omgezet wordt in lichtstraaltjes.
Deze week heeft Gumpie mij opmerkzaam gemaakt dat er op ons strand zo'n kleine vuurtoren aanwezig is. Ik was nieuwsgierig! Maar hij had gelijk, zie hieronder de vuurtoren op de gevaarlijke cliffen van Camperduin.
Hoe is Gumpie gemaakt?
Naast het maken van illustraties ben ik op zoek gegaan naar een animatie app voor mijn ipad. Daar zijn verschillende app's te vinden. De app Animation & Drawing by Do Ink had voor mij de voorkeur. De reden en de mogelijkheden zal ik later in deze blog uitleggen.
